A space to embrace a passion for Japan

An existing extension in poor condition was removed to make way for a new, high-quality addition to this Edinburgh home. The design centres around calm, balance, and simplicity — creating a tranquil retreat that brings the client’s memories of Japan to life. Featuring an Ofuro Japanese bath, wood-burning stove, and a carefully composed zen garden, the new space enhances wellbeing and provides a serene sanctuary for reflection and relaxation.
